All DSL’s have undertaken the ‘Designated Safeguarding Lead’ TKAT training and understand and follow the West Sussex County Council procedures. All members of the Senior Leadership Team have completed Safer Recruitment Training thus ensuring procedures are in place to reduce the risks involved with recruiting new staff. The national guidelines and advice are strictly adhered to.
We are very proud to have our own safeguarding ambassadors who meet with pupils regularly to gather pupil voice about safeguarding. The ambassadors have completed the TKAT Safeguarding Ambassador training where they have developed their knowledge and understanding of how best to suppot pupils in keeping safe. They work closely with DSL's to talk about their work and identify ways in which they can support pupils from sharing top tips for online safety to reminding children about what to do if they have any worries.
The ambassadors have done the following jobs most recently:
-Created reminders for the community about safe parking outside our school
-Designed and presented a whole school assembly about anti bullying
