Pear - Swimming Lessons
Dear Parents/ carers
Learning to swim is a really important life skill. It is important as an opportunity to keep fit and it is also about keeping safe in and around water.
We take the children swimming in Year 4 and they make great progress during this time. Those who can already swim, improve their swimming stamina and those who have not been swimming before, start to gain confidence in the water and learn how to swim. As well as this important learning, the children have great fun.
If children are going to develop their skills and become competent in this life skill, it is really important that they continue to go swimming. We are lucky in Crawley to have K2 where there is whole range of opportunities for children to enjoy swimming and develop their skills.
Please see below the schedule for swimming lessons at K2, Crawley. The children will be walking to and from K2.

Please be advised the children walk to and from K2 under the supervision of their teachers/ teaching assistants. If you wish to collect your child from K2 you will need to let your child's teacher know on the morning of the lesson and you must arrive at K2 no later than 15:10 otherwise your child will be walked back to school. The children will arrive back to Hilltop slightly later than normal, approximately 15:30.
With best wishes
