Dear Year 2 Parents
Wakehurst Place
The children in year 2 will be visiting Wakehurst Place over two days on Tuesday 26th and 27th November during the school day as part of their topic work.
They will get to join in an exciting workshop about a Minibeast Safari.
You will be advised nearer the date which day your child will be attending.
Cost: £15.71 per pupil – paid via Schoolgateway by the 15th November
If your child is entitled to free school meals we have automatically reduced this cost for you on schoolgateway. If you experience, any difficulty with payment please speak to the school office in confidence
Lunch: Children will require a pack lunch in a named disposable bag with a refillable water bottle
Additional information: Children are to wear comfortable shoes, they must wear their school jumpers but can wear appropriate trousers/ jogging bottoms. Please make sure your child has suitable clothes for the weather conditions, such as a raincoat etc.
We really want this worthwhile experience to go ahead however, this does depend on all parents
making the £15.71 voluntary contribution. We will review the contributions we have received before 15th November 2024 If parents have not made a contribution, the office will need to contact you before we can make a decision about whether the visit can go ahead. It’s for this reason that we would really appreciate you letting us know if you are unable to make this voluntary contribution.
The coach will be departing from Hilltop at 09.00 sharp please ensure your child arrives at school on time, the children will return in time for normal school pick up.
