Biggin Hill Memorial Museum - Year 6 (12th and 13th November)

Dear Year 6 Parents

Biggin Hill Memorial Museum

The children in year 6 will be visiting the Biggin Hill Memorial Museum as part of their topic work. The Children will have the opportunity to walk around the museum, gathering information about the Battle of Britain, and hopefully receive a talk from a member of staff about how the site was used during the war. This will be great to consolidate their learning in History this term. The classes will be split over two days on Tuesday 12th November and Wednesday 13th November during the school day. Your child's teacher will advise which day your child will be attending.

If your child is entitled to free school meals we have automatically reduced this cost for you on Schoolgateway. If you experience, any difficulty with payment please speak to the school office in confidence

We really want this worthwhile experience to go ahead however, this does depend on all parents

making the £14.93 voluntary contribution. We will review the contributions we have received

before 4th November 2024.

If parents have not made a contribution, the office will need to contact you before we can make a decision about whether the visit can go ahead. It’s for this reason that we would really appreciate you letting us know if you are unable to make this voluntary contribution.

Payments to be made by Monday 4th November – Please pay via Schoolgateway

If you have any questions please contact the school office.

Thank you
