Reception - Ducklings

Reception - Farm visit & Ducklings

Dear Parents,

We have organised for “Basil & Crew” a mobile farm to visit the children in Reception on Thursday 20th June, during school time.

The farm arrives as a totally self-contained barn, suitable for all weathers to give shelter for the animals and children. The farm will come with many animals including Shetland ponies, goats, lambs, chickens, ducks and hopefully even piglets!

In addition we also have “Incredible eggs” arriving in the unit on Tuesday 4th June - This is a wonderful experience which unfolds over 10 days from eggs to fluffy ducklings.

Action: Please make the £12.44 payment online using our Schoolcomms system.

If your child is entitled to free school meals we have automatically reduced this cost for you on Schoolcomms. If you experience any difficulty with payment, please speak to the school office in confidence.

Additional Information: Children can wear non-school-uniform for the mobile farm day. We would like to encourage the children to dress up as a farmer or a scarecrow (jeans, shirt and trainers/wellingtons) please no face paints or additional items.  Pre-applied sun cream and sun hat if weather is good, wet weather coat even if weather looks good - Please note we are outside for most of the day.

Lunch: Mobile farm - lunch in a named lunchbox – as the children will be eating outside in a picnic style lunch, please don’t forget your water bottle!!

Payments to be made by 29th May – Please pay via Schoolcomms

Unfortunately if we do not receive sufficient voluntary contributions for the visit may not go ahead. Please speak to the school office in confidence, if you have any questions.

Thank you
