Ancient Egypt Day - Year 4
15th October 2024
Dear Year 4 Parents
Ancient Egypt
The children in year 4 will experience a day of fun and learning and gain an understanding of what life was like in Ancient Egypt. An Egyptology expert called Mr Egypt will come in to share his knowledge and artefacts with the children in a fun and interactive way. The children will look at what it was like to grow up in Ancient Egypt and what the culture, clothing, food, dancing, music and games were like. They will even share an Egyptian Breakfast of flat bread with Mr Egypt to learn what they usually ate. They will then learn about the afterlife and mummification, with the children getting to take part in a mummy wrapping contest! We would love for the children to come dressed up like an Ancient Egyptian to really bring the whole day to life!

We really want this worthwhile experience to go ahead however, this does depend on all parents

If parents have not made a contribution, the office will need to contact you before we can make a decision about whether the visit can go ahead. It’s for this reason that we would really appreciate you letting us know if you are unable to make this voluntary contribution.
